Hello Autumn! :)

What s summer it’s been…

We’ve been fairly busy enjoying our summer visiting some English Heritage Sites as well as joining in with a few charity organisations.

We did join in with some Zumba demonstrations with Jane McNally and her Zumba Zest Crew in Paignton. This was raising money for Torbay Hospital, Children’s Ward. See photo. zumba-charity

The second charity we took part in after being invited, was playing live with flute and guitar for the Cullompton Town Fayre 2016. This was raising money and awareness for three charities, Bowel Cancer UK, Crohn’s and Colitis UK and the CCA (Cullompton Community Association). Sadly the weather was disappointing on this day but it didn’t damper our spirits! The music carried on and eventually the sun shone! 🙂

Finally we did take part in the BBC’s Virtual Online Orchestra! Open to all budding musicians of all levels. This was encouraging people to be involved and take part and challenge yourself to learn Bizet’s Toreador song, from Carmen. There were three levels for every instrument. We chose the advanced part for flute! We received a certificate signed by the conductor Marin Alsop and we were included in the final film! For those that are straining to see us, we are on film for a fleeting moment after about 1 minute 30 seconds in…blink and you’ll miss it! 🙂

See the final film below.
